Welcome. Performing. Sheet Music. Teaching. No Strings Attached.

~A few details ~

I began my study of the harp at the age of nine in Michigan, practicing just enough so that my parents didn’t make me quit - no child prodigy was I! In my teens, I began to understand the value of practicing and went on to major in music at the University of Michigan, with Ruth Dean Clark as my teacher. My specialty became orchestral music, and I served as principal harpist, over a 21-year span, for symphonies in Denver, Richmond VA, Shreveport LA, and Flint MI. During those years I also taught and free-lanced extensively, and from 1995 - 1998, I spent a month each summer at the Salzedo Summer Harp Colony in Camden Maine, studying with the wonderful Alice Chalifoux. Currently, I teach in my home studio, free-lance, work on new arrangements for the harp, and occasionally  write for the Harp Column magazine. Colorado is a wonderful place to be outside, and I enjoy running, skiing and hiking.
